I first heard Shallow North Dakota because of Aaron Marko [of The Swine]. He's a big fan of introducing people to new music or bands that he feels have something to say," notes Nicholas Pentabona. "I soon discovered that all of the friends we've made over the years from Canada loved these guys. Morgan thinks he might have played with them when he was in one of his old band and on tour up North, but that's neither here nor there."

"I'm into the record 'Mob Wheel' and wanted to do 'Waking The Herd' but it's way too long for us. Morgan suggested 'Diga' from ABC since its format is very structured and it's much shorter. We then took that formula, applied the general feeling of something like 'Waking The Herd' , and sprinkled some of our magic pixie dust to make it our own. Now it's almost as long. Whoops!"
